Oh, just vote Duluth already

I often chastise Iron Range leadership for wasting time arguing over meaningless resolutions about new forms of mining. So, how should I feel about the entire city of Duluth, in its comparatively stronger and more diverse economic position, spending an inordinate amount of time trying to win an online poll for “Best Outdoors Place to Live” on the “Outside” magazine website?

Better? Sigh.

I last wrote about this when Duluth and Minneapolis were paired in the regional finals. Duluth won, and then beat Asheville, N.C., in the semis. Now they face Provo, Utah, in the finals. It ends Sunday. The worst case scenario is that an entire city spent several weeks of hard social media campaigning to end up in second place in an online poll for a magazine you read at the doctor’s office. And, come to think of it, that is pretty bad. So just go vote for Duluth, OK.

  1. John Ramos says

I would vote for Duluth, except that Provo is a better outdoor city.

  2. I am sure this paragraph has touched all the internet viewers,
its really really fastidious piece of writing on building up new
    webpage.
