Get busy on Da’ Range

Are you a young person looking for a job in the traditionally difficult job market of Duluth (and, by extention, the Iron Range)? This Patrick Garmoe DNT story has some tips. Know people. Not tomorrow, but already.

And, though it may not be news to some or even remotely interesting to others, this Business North column by Matthew Hanka details the financial and logistical assistance available to businesses and entreprenuers on the Iron Range, including a definiation of exactly what area is legally considered to be the Iron Range. Got an idea? Do business on the Range. It’s cheap to operate and we’re well above the flood and drought lines for when the polar ice caps melt. Get ahead of the trend!

  1. Knowing people is advice for everywhere, not just Duluth.

Except International Falls. You don’t have to know people there. Just show up and they’ll let you work wherever you want. They’re happy just to see other human beings there.
