‘Overburden’ tour arrives in Virginia Tuesday night

Don’t forget to make plans for my Tuesday evening reading of my new book “Overburden: Modern Life on the Iron Range” at the Lyric Center for the Arts in downtown Virgina. The lecture begins at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a discussion and book signing. I’m thinking of throwing in some new material for this presentation in preparation for some big venue shows to come. The Lyric Center for the Arts is requesting a donation of $5. The event is part of the larger series “Range of Arts” which is going on all week.

This will be my first visit to the Queen City of the tour and the last Iron Range event for quite some time as I plan to spend the rest of the spring focusing on the Twin Ports and Twin Cities. It’s been a great tour so far and I’ve met many fascinating people. If you’re a reader of the blog or my other work, or if you just want to find out what this crazy book is all about, come on down. The book, after all, funds the blog which itself funds nothing.

And stay tuned for more information about the March 11-12 events in the Twin Cities. It looks like we might get a little press coverage and some momentum for other events there in coming months.
