Modern Life in Northern Minnesota
I’m thinking of making some changes to the blog to make it more user friendly. I would like to change or add to the sidebar content and improve the load speed. Any suggestions from my longtime readers for things you’d like to see in a possible redesign?

Hmmm..you asked, right? Maybe some icons to hook up with you on FB or Twitter located closer at the top, Categories are good and a link to RangeBuzz.com would be nice. 😉 You may want to add a share plugin so people can easily link on FB, etc. Bigger RSS subscribe…I personally am a WordPress lover…so many extentions for FREE.
A migration to WordPress is under strong consideration. FB and Twitter are part of the plan and I’ll throw in the RangeBuzz link for free. 🙂
I’m also going to do more with permanent posts, displaying my Iron Range themed posts and columns that have an evergreen feel to them and linking to them off the main page.
I like the general look of your blog, but the brown color comes up first and the center changes to white after only awhile, so then the words show up. I haven’t checked out the sidebar stuff, as I already spend way too much time reading blogs.
I miss the comments link. It’s nice to know what people are commenting on, and to be able to go directly to that section. It should be placed fairly high up on the blog, left hand side.
