2009, there’s the door: Quick or we’ll call the cops

As we wrap up the last week of the year, MinnesotaBrown.com thanks those who’ve stuck with the blog despite the reduced posting schedule these last few months. I’m likely to increase the frequency in 2010 when I figure out how to balance my other professional writing projects. Meantime, it was quite a notable year for the Iron Range and Minnesota even if that year wasn’t particularly good. It had one of those retrospectively “last” feelings to it … like it might be the “last” year America had a reliable food distribution system or the “last” year that the internet wasn’t controlled by the Lawnmower Man. The mood is grim, and the fault is largely to a culture that’s coked out on anger, propaganda and instant gratification. But also there was Lady Gaga! Eh? Not too shabby.

Baby 2010 … your work is cut out for you.

I’ll be on 91.7 KAXE doing a riff on the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010 at 8:10 Thursday morning. You can listen online at www.kaxe.org, where they also archive the live stream for one full week after broadcast.
