I’m sitting in my office at the college and I look up to a poster that’s been there a while. It’s the text of the “I Have a Dream” speech by the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.
It’s the 50th anniversary of the delivery of King’s speech during the March on Washington in 1963, something marked frequently across the media today.
From every mountainside, let freedom ring.
The dream is closer, perhaps, but not realized. I could go on, but I’d recommend you just watch the speech.
