State Politics

State PoliticsThis morning, U.S. Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.) will debate GOP challenger and investment broker Mike McFadden for their first formal debate of Election 2014, which takes place just over a month from now. Tonight, Gov. Mark Dayton (D-Minn.) will debate GOP challenger and Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson in their first debate.

The Uptake will provide live coverage of both the 8 a.m. U.S. Senate debate in Duluth and the 7 p.m. Governor’s debate in Rochester. They’ve provided this blog with embedded coverage of both events (below), but you may also check out the archives at The Uptake’s website after the fact.

  1. It would have been nice to hear Mafadden’s closing remarks, why the loss of audio?…I’m curious.

    • The file comes via The Uptake. They had some technical difficulties during the Debate and perhaps that is the reason for any audio problems. I will say that I’d be very surprised if the problem goes uncorrected. In a pinch, you could check out the audio version which is archived at MPRNews.org.
