This Sunday, my series of columns on mental health issues in rural Minnesota continues. Before then, here’s something related. On Friday, I appeared on an episode of “Business Talk, Sister Gawk” with Rebekkah Anderson.
Anderson shared some of her personal experience with mental illness as an adoptive and foster mom for my column. She also happens to be an accomplished business consultant and podcaster, so we decided to do a crossover on her show. The resulting interview turned into a great conversation about how we maintain mental health in our busy lives.
Listen to “Mental Health is Serious Business” from Business Talk, Sister Gawk.
On a side note, Anderson is also rehabbing an old Lake Street storefront property in Chisholm. She’s turned the first floor into the art gallery called Diletto and has dreams for the rest of the building. I love to see new life in old Iron Range buildings. Talking to Anderson reminds me that anything you can do in Minneapolis or St. Paul you can do in Greater Minnesota, too.
I appeared on a couple episodes of Anderson’s podcast three years ago, talking about history.
