The magic number is 22%

From AP via Yahoo:

The White House said Wednesday that President Bush has paid a price for the “Mission Accomplished” banner that was flown in triumph five years ago but later became a symbol of U.S. misjudgments and mistakes in the long and costly war in Iraq.

Thursday is the fifth anniversary of Bush’s dramatic landing in a Navy jet on an aircraft carrier homebound from the war. The USS Abraham Lincoln had launched thousands of airstrikes on Iraq.

So, let’s look at the office pool. Which liberal blogger had 22%? Who had 22% as the approval rating it would take for the Bush Administration to admit that “Mission Accomplished” was a stupid and misleading thing to say? Ah, I see. That would be be Congratulations!

Oh, and NBC/Wall Street Journal has Bush polling BELOW the Rev. Jeramiah Wright. Ouch.

I’d like to say to every one of the 78 percent who voted for this clown “ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?”

What is it about our electorate that think the democratic party is so bad that they would re-elect the worst president we’ve ever had? Are we going to do better this time? Or are we going for “four more years?”

I’m not sure our population gets it yet, and will continue to believe voting their “values” is the right thing to do when it comes to select our president.

These situations test my faith in democracy.

Oh, and did anyone catch that this is a lower approval rating than Nixon had during the height of the Watergate investigation? Bush is the most reviled President in the history of our country.

    Got Dem?
