This morning I was a guest on Minnesota Public Radio’s Daily Circuit program, talking northern Minnesota mining politics with co-host Tom Weber.
It’s been a busy couple weeks of mining news with debate over the approaching release of PolyMet’s Environmental Impact Statement, Rep. Rick Nolan’s vote in favor of a pro-mining deregulation bill and a recent poll showing mixed support for controversial new nonferrous mining in northern Minnesota. I wrote a couple big pieces on northern Minnesota’s future as it relates to mining recently, one for the Hibbing Daily Tribune and one for The Daily Yonder.

Fun Fact: I did this interview from a van in the parking lot of the Grand Rapids YMCA. While I was talking a lady walked her big dog by the van. The dog’s tail had been dyed bright pink. I’m a baller, though, so I bet you can’t even hear when that happened.
