‘Overburden’ has arrived

The first shipment of my new book “Overburden: Modern Life on the Iron Range” has arrived on the Iron Range. You will begin seeing copies in local book stores, including Hibbing’s Howard Street Booksellers and Duluth’s Barnes and Noble and Northern Lights book stores over the next few days (among many others).

Our official opening date is Oct. 14, with our premier event on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 5 p.m. at Howard Street Booksellers. After that, we campaign across the Range and Duluth before eventually descending upon the Twin Cities like book-wielding Visigoths upon Rome. Mark my words, I shall deliver a triumphant address from Pawlenty’s den in Eagan and depart unscathed! (Well, maybe the Eagan Barnes and Noble, anyway).

The book was published by an exciting new company called Red Step Press. This press is dedicated to nonfiction work that celebrates small towns and rural areas, particularly northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.

  1. I know the Iron Range only has dialup, but online ordering please! Amazon perhaps?

  3. Congratulations, Aaron…looking forward to reading it!

  4. We’ll be on the big online stores for our opening on Oct. 14. The copies out now are special sneak previews for local folks. Not that you aren’t special. You are special.
