Super secret sneak preview copies available for ‘Overburden’

Shhh! It’s a secret. Copies of my new book “Overburden: Modern Life on the Iron Range” are available at Howard Street Booksellers in Hibbing, Northern Lights bookstore in Duluth’s Canal Park and the Duluth Barnes and Noble. Other stores will be on board soon.

This book is a collection of essays and observations about life in the up-and-coming new generation on the Iron Range of Northern Minnesota, a place that is most known for its politics, history and tradition. With the recent groundbreaking for Essar Steel Minnesota near Nashwauk, I am hoping this book speaks for all the people looking forward to a new century on the Range. But it’s also a deeply personal book for me and I hope that comes across, too.

The official opening for “Overburden” is Oct. 14, which is when you should be able to order the book through all the major national online booksellers. But in true Iron Range style, we’re giving a jump to local folks who bother to show up at the stores. More to come …

  1. Great News for the Iron Range, the current American crisis has given RangeBilly a major victory–Rangers said it wouldn’t happen. Congrats to RB for coming out on top.
