Me: the MNBlue interview

“The Big E” over at MNBlue, a Minnesota progressive blog where I am an occasional contributor, interviewed me for my new book, “Overburden: Modern Life on the Iron Range,” which is out now. I’ll be taking questions in the comments on his post.

My first event will be Thursday, Oct. 16, from 5-7 p.m. at Howard Street Booksellers in Hibbing. This is our grand opening and should be quite the shindig, a veritable “who’s who” of people in my e-mail address book. I’ll be doing another signing at the Village Bookstore in Grand Rapids this Saturday from noon-2 p.m. after sitting in studio for a special Iron Range edition of “Between You and Me” on KAXE. An updated list of events is on the side bar of this blog. The tour will take me from the far western Mesabi all the way to the eastern Vermilion iron ranges, spanning the whole region commonly known as the “Iron Range.” We’ll also be doing Duluth and, to be announced, the Twin Cities and other Minnesota locations.

Sick of me pushing the book yet? Relent!

UPDATE: Zack at MNPublius has also given me a kind shout-out for the book.
