Politics in Minnesota mentions my new book

I got a nice mention in last week’s Politics in Minnesota Weekly Report.

One of our favorite bloggers, Aaron Brown of Minnesota Brown, has published his first book, Overburden: Modern Life on the Iron Range. Aaron is a regular in our Morning Report, and we profiled him a few months ago in The Weekly Report. He’s got a singular and incisive take on Range issues and Overburden should be a fascinating and relevant read for Minnesotans and anyone interested in the societies and economies of rural communities. The book is out already in Iron Range independent bookstores, but if you can’t wait for your local seller to pick it up, you can preorder from Barnes and Noble. Aaron’s also doing a series of appearances to promote the book and speak on the Range as well as media and blogging issues. Check out his site for the schedule of these appearances.

Politics in Minnesota does a free Morning Report of news and views around the state that I strongly recommend and their subscription Weekly Report is what all the insiders read. Meantime, “Overburden” continues to spread out across the state. Our listing with the big national online booksellers has been approved and you should be able to buy the book online by our official opening date of Oct. 14. I am working on several new additions to the list of lectures and book signings you see on the sidebar of this blog.
