Remember how I hit a deer a couple weeks ago, sending it under the car and ripping everything to pieces? Right, well, I’ve got the car back from the shop now and every time the engine gets warm it smells like fur. I expect this will last the winter. I talked to a guy I know at the shop and he kind of faded into a PTSD flashback when trying to describe the extraction of deer parts from the undercarriage.
As they say in closing around these parts, “watch for deer.”

Warmed fur doesn’t smell nice. Maybe you’ll get used to it?

Reminds me of the time I ran over a skunk and popped it’s scent sack on a hot summer day with the vents on high…It took three months before the smell was gone.
Luckily, my deer stayed on the top side of my car, but I am reminded of the vol who committed suicide in my air ventilation system last summer. I made my husband do the extraction and although I cleaned it well, I still get a whiff of that sucker every now and then!
