The “Frozen Four”-bound Bemidji State Beavers men’s hockey team is featured in today’s New York Times. This also has the distinction of being the first time the words “Bemidji” “hockey” and “Beavers” have appeared in a single edition of the Times.

“Did we expect to win both games? I don’t know,” Travis Winter, the senior captain, said. “I knew we’d compete and we’d have a chance. I’m not going to sit here and say I’m not surprised, but I’m not shocked either. We’ve got a good hockey team.”

Oh, ya! The Beavers play tomorrow against Miami of Ohio, the team that beat UMD.
