The fundraiser essentially was an all-night rave held at Thrillz in Canal Park from 10 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday. Shortly after the show started, Nagorski said police were called about 10:45 by the nearby Suites Hotel, where guests complained about loud noise.

Concert organizers assured police that the music would be turned down, but about 2:50 a.m. police were called back — this time to the report of a fight near the entrance to Thrillz.

“The music was so loud again that officers could feel vibration on the street,” Nagorski said.
