Here are some upcoming events at the Minnesota Discovery Center in Chisholm. I haven’t been doing a good job of promoting Acoustic Cafe, but it remains a regular live music event on the “free” night at the Discovery Center, which is, of course, the nonprofit cultural center celebrating the people and history of the Iron Range. And rag rugs, either you’re for ’em or you’re against ’em. They are happening Saturday.

Students will learn about design and the ethnic heritage of rag rugs, as well as the weavers, looms and loom makers in northeastern Minnesota and northern Michigan.
