Art in the Park brings youth orchestra to big Range venue

The Minnesota Discovery Center in Chisholm announces its evening “Art in the Park” event for tonight.

June 9 Art in the Park features Crescendo Youth Orchestra

Crescendo Youth Orchestra will perform at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, for Minnesota Discovery Center’s Art in the Park series. The Orchestra’s performance is part of a five-day “Strings Camp” being held at MDC. Performers during the June 16 Art in the Park are Josh Palmi at 7 p.m. and Fifth Floor at 8 p.m.; on June 23, the duo Fathers and Sons performs at 7 p.m. followed by Mark Henderson and the Mojosaurus Blues Band; on June 30, Kindred Experience performs at 8 p.m. Admission to Art in the Park is free; donations to support Art in the Park are accepted. Food and beverage are available to purchase.

MDC’s Thursday evening trolley tour is at 6 p.m. Cost is $2 per person. Mini-golf is also open; cost is $2 per round per person. The exhibits The Significance of Grace and Grace Inspirations: A Photographic Depiction of the Iron Range are now showing. The traveling exhibit, Peanuts Naturally, from the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, CA, opens Saturday, June 11.
