The Bemidji Pioneer ran a feature today on our upcoming Great Northern Radio Show, Saturday, April 7, live from the Chief Theater in downtown Bemidji. You can hear the show 5-7 p.m. on 91.7 KAXE/90.5 KBXE and kaxe.org. We’ll also be podcasting and rebroadcasting the show on Northern Community Radio and other public stations around the state.
A few minor errors aside (it’s KAXE, not KXKE) it’s a lovely story about the innocence of our wide-eyed project. I’m trying to project that the show has a modern edge to it as well as an old-time feel. Not doing a good job of it, but I think our show has a really compelling cross-generational tone, something for everyone to enjoy.
There’ll be more posted about the show in coming days. We’re almost two weeks out now; excitement is building! It’s a free show, but if you’d like to come down to the theater (and you should!) call KAXE at 218-326-1234 to reserve a nice seat. There’ll be general seating, first come-first served, on the day of the show. There are 300 seats in the Chief and we aim to fill them all, along with all the radios from Brainerd north.
