Nolan appears on "Face the Nation"

U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan (D-MN8) made his first national TV appearance after being sworn in this week. He joins other lawmakers in a discussion of major issues before the Congress on this morning’s edition of “Face the Nation.”

I thought he came across well in this appearance, though I’ll leave it for you to decide for yourself.

  1. Well just what did he do to merit “He came across well”???

    Here’s what he said:
    1) He’ll work 48 weeks instead of 32.

    2) He’ll continue government spending at the current or an accelerated rate.

    3) He’ll address the issue of people killing people by promoting elimating certain rifles (and rifle clips?) when rifles accounted for 357 of the over 9,000 gun related deaths last year. He might as well propose putting up larger “guns as banned on these premises” signs for the amount of good that will do.

He demonstrated no leadership whatsoever. He was a talking head…sigh
