Comments

  1. And Minnesota is shutting down it’s coal fired power plants to be replaced with windmills and sundials (“under my plan, electricity rates will necessarily skyrocket” – B.O. Jan. 2008).

All to fight this evil man-made global warming…Don’t forget to cover your tomato plants.

  2. We’ve had the weather vs. climate discussion here before. It’s abnormally cold here right now. There’s a heat wave in Siberia. You add up everything together and you see the rapid rise of global temperatures over the last several decades. But yes, that won’t help the tomatoes tonight.

  3. The world (including Cherry and Siberia) has been warming since 17,000 years ago, cooling since 8000 years ago, cooling since 2000 years ago, warming since 1850 and unchanged since 1997.

And by connecting those dots Minnesota decides to demolish our existing power plants and build high cost windmills that won’t spin in the winter. We’d BETTER hope it starts warming again… more than our tomato plants will be freezing to death.

  4. But as you brought up the weather:

July in the USA ends on a frigid note as record cold outpaces warmth nearly 10 to 1
NOAA forecast shows lows into the 30′s and 40′s for much of the norther and western USA will likely continue. Where’s that global (U.S.) warming when we need it?

    Total Records: 1295
    High Temp: 47
    Low Temp: 451
    Low Max Temp: 671
    High Min Temp: 126
