Like many in northern Minnesota, my family awaits the arrival of the “tall ships” later this month in the Port of Duluth on Lake Superior. These masted wooden ships were a huge hit in 2010 and hundreds of thousands of people are expected to check them out this summer.
This year you can track the Tall Ships as they voyage across the Great Lakes. I got to see them arrive (albeit through the window of a very boring downtown building) in 2010 and it is quite a site.
