You can hear our most recent episode of the Great Northern Radio Show this Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m.-noon on Northern Community Radio. Later you’ll be able to download the podcast, allowing everyone to hear the broadcast we did in front of an audience at Mesabi Range College on March 22.
We filled the Mesabi Range theater that night. It was a great crowd and a live-wire show. We had music from Sam Militch and the Clearwater Hot Club, the Slamming Doors and Aurora Baer, all of whom had great moments in the show. I tend to do a lot of experimentation with the sketches, and we were pleasantly surprised by the strong positive reaction we got to this show’s offerings. We’ve been finding a consistent stride in recent shows and it bodes well for the year ahead where we’ll be trying to broaden the show’s reach into a bigger audience.
