Season’s Greetings from the wintery joyscape of Minnesota’s Iron Range

Merry Christmas from MinnesotaBrown.com!

I’ll be spending the holidays with my family touring across the mighty Mesabi Iron Range of Northern Minnesota’s scenic winterlude. Posting might be sporadic since the kids are home from school. I’ll have my annual year-end review, though … whenever it’s good and ready.

I’d like to leave you with the classic rock ‘n’ roll gem “Run, Rudolph, Run” by Chuck Berry, covered by one of my favorite Minnesota musical acts, Reina del Cid and the Cidizens.

If you’re looking for some background music and entertainment for the holidays, Reina was our headliner in the Christmas show we did in Fosston (right click for MP3). We also did a Christmas show in Bigfork (right click for MP3) the year before that. We just wrapped our winter show in Walker earlier this month. That one was less Christmas-y, but very winter-y. The Walker Show from Northern Lights Casino will be rebroadcast on Northern Community Radio at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve (TONIGHT!). Then you can hear the Fosston show from 2-4 p.m. on Christmas Day. So tune in, wherever you may be.

Really, you can’t go wrong with the Great Northern Radio Show, especially when there’s  a lot of ambient noise and distraction.

But I digress, here’s Reina del Cid:
