LISTEN NOW to the Bemidji State show.
This Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. you can hear the rebroadcast of last Saturday’s Great Northern Radio Show, which aired live Sept. 19 from the Bangsberg Theater at Bemidji State University.

Berit Dybing was an absolutely charming addition to the Sept. 19, 2015 Great Northern Radio Show. A high school senior she comfortably dove into song, dance and comedy among our grizzled veterans.
This was one of our more successful shows. The musical lineup featured American Scarecrows, Corey Medina and his band, Berit Dybing and Red Lake rapper Thomas X. We also brought in our first stand-up comedians, Jon Roberts and Rob Fairbanks, who both absolutely killed. I also delivered a couple halfway decent monologues and occasionally joined the cast to perform sketches.
This thing is always a big chemistry experiment and I think we got the mix right on this one. The guests and musicians really carried the show; all I had to do was tend the fire and land the airplane (and avoid mixing metaphors, D’oh!).
Tune in this Sunday from 11a-1p on Northern Community Radio. We are currently in the latter stages of a major launch of a new Great Northern Radio Show webpage that will include rich audio archives and features. So stay tuned for that, and our next show Nov. 7 at Larson’s Barn near McGregor, Minnesota.
