Power in the Wilderness podcast re-airs Mondays at 8a on KAXE

I’m nearing the finish line for my enormous book, “Power in the Wilderness,” about Victor Power and the action-packed world of early 20th Century Hibbing, Minnesota. It will be some time before the book is ready for you to read, however. Meantime you should check out the podcast of the same name that independent filmmaker Karl Jacob and I produced together for Northern Community Radio.

You can subscribe anywhere you listen to podcasts, of course. But if you prefer terrestrial radio KAXE/KBXE-Northern Community Radio will re-air “Power in the Wilderness” from 8-9 a.m. starting Monday, Feb. 14 and airing every Monday at that time for ten weeks.

You can hear the show at 91.7 KAXE Grand Rapids and the Iron Range, 90.5 KBXE Bagley-Bemidji, and 105.3 Brainerd. The station streams online at www.kaxe.org.

The podcast tells the story of how Karl and I met each other on the trail of Victor Power and decided to start working together. Karl is producing a television show that will be based on the historical non-fiction book I’m writing now. If you’ve never heard about Vic Power and the real story of early Iron Range history, you’re in for a treat.
