Brown on the Air: GARDENING!

This week my contribution to the KAXE Saturday morning call in and music program “Between You and Me” joins the show’s topic of gardening stories. Gardens are firing up around northern Minnesota (finally, we think) and the Browns will be expanding our garden know-how as well.

A version of this piece ran as my Sunday column last week, but you’ll find that the audio version is all the more enjoyable. Mostly because it’s shorter. In any event, if you liked that you’ll like this show even more as people call in their stories, advice and questions for guest hosts Linda Johnson and Bonnie the Plant Lady.

“Between You and Me” airs Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon on 91.7 KAXE or streaming live at www.kaxe.org. This station is operated by Northern Community Radio, an independent nonprofit public media organization that finds a way to produce great content for a very large area without much money. They hold their annual meeting later at 5 p.m. Saturday in the form of a Mexican potluck and dance with live music from the Tolerators. That’s how they roll. You should join them, both in food and fun, but also as a member.
