Brown on the Air: HOT STOVE LEAGUE (you know, sports)

This week’s topic on 91.7 KAXE‘s Saturday morning call-in and music radio show “Between You and Me” is “Hot Stove League.” The hot stove league is an archaic but lovable term for talking about baseball in the winter. (Hellz, yes, 1950s!) The show features guest hosts Scott Hall and Fred Friedman, the regulars from the “Sports Page” program. I have a “Greatest Hits” essay on tap — one about how I’m bad at sports but am very good at getting people to pay attention to me for the amusing way in which I describe being bad at sports. But that’s not the only reason to tune in.

Circle me, Jeebus, they got an interview with Bert Blyleven.

“Between You and Me” airs between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday on 91.7 FM in northern Minnesota and streamling live all over the world at www.kaxe.org.
