Brown on the Air: LIBRARIES!

This week on “Between You and Me,” the Saturday morning call-in and music program on 91.7 KAXE, the rotating topic turns to libraries. Host Heidi Holtan, a former librarian her own self, will lead a discussion of library stories, library meaning, and things you would find in a library. Northern Minnesota is home to many great public, school and historical libraries. Which is your favorite?

I’ll be telling a few library yarns, 2 D X-treme! My oldest boy just got his first library card, which was a thing. You know, really this is just a reminder that what I do  is turn odd topics into a collection of stories and one-liners. Libraries. Space aliens. Monkey brains. I don’t always pick the job but I always finish the job, know what I mean?

So, this one is about libraries. I think you’d describe it loosely as pro-library. Tune in from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday on 91.7 FM in northern Minnesota or streaming live all over the world at www.kaxe.org. The show is syndicated through PRX, where you can also book my essays onto your public radio station. Why wouldn’t you, Google-trawling radio producer? You’ve aired worse things and this is relevant to your search terms HUMOR RADIO BRIEF AFFORDABLE.
