Great Northern Radio ShowGreat Northern Radio Show weekend is here! We’ll be broadcasting my Northern Minnesota-based traveling variety show live on Northern Community Radio from the Northern Lakes Casino in Walker, Minnesota this Saturday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. We might still have a few free tickets available by calling 800-662-5799 today (Friday). Arrive before 4:30 p.m. Saturday for seating, or just tune in on the radio at 5.

You can hear Northern Community Radio on 91.7 KAXE in Grand Rapids, Aitkin and the Iron Range, 90.5 KBXE in Bemidji and Bagley, 89.9 FM in Brainerd or 103.9 FM Ely, streaming online at KAXE.org. In addition, for this show, we’ll be simulcasting on 90.1 FM KOJB-Bena with the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwa.

What’s in the show? I previewed this program here earlier. For our winter show, we’ll be following the local Ojibwa custom of telling stories after the snow falls. Lots of tradition, lots of laughs and some great music from Steve Kaul and the Brass Kings and Shannon Murray. Hope you can join us!
